Well, Its been a while since I put in an article about a race meet, so I thought I might do one for the Last Race meet in the Summer Season.
First of congratulations to Shev on the birth of a baby girl, he has kept his figure well and is back racing after just 12 days!!!!....such stamina!!....although from all accounts he was a bit SLOW today gaining the Nick Name of "Sunday Driver"....hmmm...
Welcome to some new people that turned up for the first time today, hope you all had fun and that we will see you back again on the 13th July at our First race meet for the Winter Season. For the Summer Season the Giblins have taken out first place in both Gas classes with Father and Son obviously making a good team. In Stock Gas the Karlsson duo of Lars and Chance have come Second and Third and in Pro Gas we have Graham and John close on the heals of Peter.
In the electric racing 540 was taken out by Sean, with Mike and Corey coming 2nd and 3rd. In Stock we have Corey coming first with Nic and Sean in 2nd and 3rd. Unfortunately Modified class did not race enough this season to be awarded trophies. Well done to all those who competed and good luck for next season, Trophies will be presented at the next race meet on the 13th July.
There is a working bee next Saturday the 28th June, mainly to repair the damage done to the track by our local vandals, I will put up some more info on the Forum soon. I think that will do for now, see you on the track. Kathy
