News Item: Race Meet 15th February 2008

The track was a bit of a mess when we first arrived, all this rain is making life hard for our wonderful members who get there early each Race Meet to clean down the track. Thankyou to those members who every f/night take on this task.
We ended up with 35 drivers, two classes of Pro Gas and a full grid of Stock Gas and Rebuildable Stock. Most of our young 540 drivers have advanced to other classes leaving us with only one who managed to borrow a stock motor so he could race. So we are looking for some 540 drivers for the club, if you havn't raced before and want to come and try it out 540 is a great place to start.
Congratulations to Dave who managed to launch his car about a meter in the air and completly miss the start line counter. Also to Brock who drove really well to come first in the Pro Nitro Class.
Brett did a great job on the BBQ and Graham LJ has volunteered to run it next f/night, I will be putting up a schedule next race for people to volunteer for the BBQ we are missing a few dates, if you can help out with any of these dates please email me....6th April, 20th April, 4th May, 18th May, 1st June, 15th June, 29th June and of ourse the 17th & 18th May when we hold the Interclub Challenge.
Talking about Interclub don't forget that the first round is being held at Bayside on the 8th & 9th March, we encourage as many of our members to compete as possible.....lets win it this year.
